FireKeepers board accepts clean 2021 audit and authorizes Tier I payments

The FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board accepted the 2021 financial audit and approved routine Tier I disbursements at its June 2 meeting in Marshall.
County Administrator/Controller Kelli Scott reviewed the audit prepared by Gabridge & Company, PLC, saying the FLRSB received an "unmodified or clean opinion" on the 2021 financial statements. Scott said the audit showed $4.8 million in net win revenues in 2021 and an unrestricted carryforward fund balance of $126,000.
Member Greg Moore moved to approve the 2021 audit; Member Joe Caron seconded. The motion carried on a voice vote.
The board then approved Tier I payments to cover administrative and routine accounting expenses: $30,000 for Calhoun County administrative services under the 2022 agreement approved previously by the FLRSB; $2,950 to Gabridge & Company, PLC for the 2021 audit; and $540 for Calhoun County's 2022 QuickBooks subscription. The motion to disburse those funds was moved by Moore, seconded by Caron and carried by voice vote.
The board did not receive public comment on the items. The meeting adjourned at 11:04 a.m.; the next meeting was scheduled for June 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
