FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board accepts 2020 audit, approves Tier 1 disbursements

The FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board on July 19 accepted the authority’s 2020 financial audit and approved two Tier 1 disbursements during a virtual meeting convened by Chairman Joe Caron.
Kelli Scott, Calhoun County administrator/controller, told board members the audit conducted by Gabridge & Co. received an "unmodified or clean opinion." Scott summarized the audit’s financial highlights, reporting net win revenues of $5,855,558, total expenses and allocations of $5,922,356 (including $145,000 in discretionary grants) and an ending net position of $29,676.
"The audit went smoothly and was conducted remotely," Scott said while reviewing the report. Member Jamie Stuck moved to accept the audit; Member Rebecca Fleury seconded. The board approved the motion by roll-call vote, 6–0.
The board also approved two Tier 1 disbursements: $2,650 to Gabridge & Co. for 2020 audit services and $375 for the county’s QuickBooks Online annual subscription under the Administrative Services Agreement. Member Greg Moore moved to approve the payments; Member Jamie Stuck seconded. The disbursements were approved by roll-call vote, 6–0.
Scott noted an additional piece of correspondence received after the agenda was published: a June 25, 2021 letter from Willard Library thanking the board for a Tier 3 allocation in 2021.
Chairman Caron adjourned the meeting at 9:19 a.m.; the board said the next meeting would be scheduled within the first quarter of 2022.
