The FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board voted unanimously June 4, 2021, to disburse previously approved local government payments of $3,724,162.47 in PILT (payment in lieu of taxes) allocations and $884,488.58 in Tier 4 formula allocations and to authorize a $375 annual QuickBooks Online subscription for Calhoun County.
The actions took place during a virtual meeting called to order at 10:06 a.m. by Chairman Joe Caron. Member Greg Moore moved to approve the disbursement of the Tier 3 PILT and Tier 4 formula allocations; Member Jamie Stuck seconded. The board recorded a roll call vote of 6 yes, 0 no and the motion carried.
Under a separate motion, the board approved a $375 allocation for a Calhoun County QuickBooks Online annual subscription “per Administrative Services Agreement.” Member Jamie Stuck moved the allocation and Member Derek King seconded; the roll call vote was 6 yes, 0 no.
The minutes show the Tier 3 PILT allocations had been approved previously on May 14, 2021, and total $3,724,162.47 (adjusted $0.01 for rounding). The Tier 4 formula allocations approved on May 14 total $884,488.58. Both disbursements were authorized by the board on June 4.
Kelli Scott, Calhoun County administrator/controller, told the board the approximate final balance for 2021 is $125,000 and said the board must schedule one more meeting to accept the 2020 financial audit, authorize payment and issuance of the audit check, and issue the county’s QuickBooks reimbursement check. The meeting adjourned at 10:13 a.m.
The board’s procedural items for the meeting included approval of the agenda (moved by Member Greg Moore, seconded by Member Derek King) and approval of the May 14, 2021 minutes via the consent agenda (moved by Member Jamie Stuck, seconded by Member Deb Belles).
