Grant County approves $4,663 courthouse window replacement; roofing deferred pending drain work

Jared Fischer and Planning and Zoning Administrator Jason Albert summarized proposals received. C & H Glass recommended replacing the broken glass at a cost of $4,663 and advised the county to contact glazing and caulking specialists for additional work; the board moved to have C & H Glass replace the broken window (motion by Meyer, seconded by Hochhalter) and the motion passed on a roll call vote. Two proposals were received for the roofing project; the board agreed it would be prudent to have a plumber address a roof drain before engaging a roofing contractor. Fischer said he will contact local plumbers to complete the work before returning to the board with a roofing contract recommendation.
The approval directs county staff to proceed with the window replacement and to coordinate necessary pre-roofing plumbing repairs; no roofing contract was awarded at the Oct. 15 meeting.
