The Grant County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Oct. 15 to approve bills totaling $54,879.87, accepted the treasurer's report and carried several routine consent items, including a game-site authorization and a liquor license.
Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter moved to approve the agenda and later moved to approve payment of bills totaling $54,879.87; both motions were seconded by Commissioner Marty Meyer and passed on a roll call vote with Chairman Alton Zenker voting aye. The largest invoices listed in the warrant run included Farstad Oil Inc. for $24,069.41, the Office of the Adjutant General for $11,978.41 and Napa Auto Parts New Salem for $8,654.55.
During the meeting the board approved a Game Site Authorization for American Legion Post #69 to hold Calcutta(s) Dec. 1'025'025 at the Bachmeier Ranch, 5130 78 St SW, Carson (motion by Meyer, seconded by Hochhalter; roll call vote all aye). The board also approved a beer and liquor license for Hammer Down (North Shore Concessions and Lake Tschida Welcome Center) for Jan. 1'026 through Dec. 31'026 (motion by Hochhalter, seconded by Meyer; all in favor).
The meeting record shows the treasurer's report was reviewed and accepted. With no further routine business the board adjourned at 11:44 a.m.; the auditor noted the next scheduled meetings are Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, 2025.
