Jason Albert, Grant County Planning & Zoning Director, facilitated a phone call with Jason Schatz on the submitted plat for the Schatz 3rd Subdivision in section 15 of Township 136 North, Range 89 West, and the board said a public zoning hearing will be scheduled to allow public testimony.
The board approved an approach application submitted by Steven Schmid. Jon Alt recommended culverts be installed for both approaches; because the road in question is not a main county road, the county will not supply culverts unless it accepts a work order to install the approaches at the property owner’s expense. The minutes state the property owner may build the approaches at their own expense.
The board’s approval of the approach application was made by motion (Meyer), seconded by Hochhalter, with a roll call vote recorded as unanimous (Meyer — aye; Hochhalter — aye; Zenker — aye). The hearing schedule for the Schatz plat will be set separately and will allow public testimony, per the Planning & Zoning recommendation.
