Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter moved to "plan for a twenty-eight foot wide bridge deck, Kansas Corral style guardrail system, and a bypass for the bridge construction plans." Commissioner Marty Meyer seconded the motion. The Board recorded a roll call vote with Commissioners Meyer, Hochhalter and Chair Alton Zenker voting aye, and the motion carried.
The approved specifications will guide final engineering and procurement for the 2026 replacement. The minutes do not record a cost estimate, funding source, or contract award; those details will be determined in subsequent engineering and budgeting steps.
