Grant County commissioners approve $71,503.51 in bills and $74,155 in gravel royalties

Grant County Commissioners on Jan. 22 approved routine county bills totaling $71,503.51 and authorized two second gravel-royalty payments totaling $74,155.
The motion to approve the bills was made by Commissioner Marty Meyer and seconded by Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter and passed on a roll call vote with all commissioners voting aye. The record lists several of the larger line items paid from county funds, including Hammer Lane Diesel LLC for $39,676.90, Office of the Adjutant General for $11,308.11, and Napa Auto Parts New Salem for $12,276.30; additional smaller vendors and amounts were recorded in the minutes.
The board also approved two royalty payments as second payments: $33,348.00 to Troy Miller and $40,807.00 to Leroy Kautz. Both motions were moved and seconded and carried on roll call with Commissioners Meyer, Hochhalter and Chairman Alton Zenker voting aye.
The approvals were recorded as routine fiscal actions on the agenda for Jan. 22. The board did not record additional discussion about funding sources or budget adjustments at the meeting.
The board is scheduled to meet again Feb. 5 and Feb. 19, 2025.
