Grant County Commissioners voted unanimously Oct. 16 to approve bills totaling $98,773.87 and to renew two bank certificates of deposit.
The board, chaired by Alton Zenker, approved the warrants after Commissioner Marty Meyer moved to pay the listed vendors and Commissioner Al Roy Hochhalter seconded. The minutes list vendor payments that include Deere Credit, Inc. ($6,750.00), HA Thompson & Sons ($33,850.00), North Dakota State Radio Communications ($11,267.80) and Nutrien Ag Solutions ($9,928.00), among others. The motion passed by roll call with Meyer, Hochhalter and Zenker each voting "aye."
Later in the meeting, commissioners approved two CD renewals. Commissioner Hochhalter moved to renew Certificate of Deposit #2622 with Dakota Community Bank & Trust for 24 months; Commissioner Meyer seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Meyer then moved to renew Certificate of Deposit #7712 with Grant County State Bank for 12 months; Commissioner Hochhalter seconded and the board again voted unanimously.
In a separate action the board approved a partial payment to a contractor working on the county's 2024 gravel crushing and stockpiling contract. The county approved a partial payment of $196,990.89 to Gravel Products Inc. after hearing a partial completion report from John Sauber.
The board accepted the treasurer's report earlier in the session; the minutes do not provide additional budget detail or reserve balances. The meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
