Mixon said priority will be given to certain projects, including public safety upgrades, using the smaller BAN to get work started. He said the process will mirror prior years, with a smaller short-term note followed by a larger bond issuance toward year-end. Mixon said he expects county action on the financing to occur between late February and March 2025.
Mixon also publicly thanked Kelsey Andrews and the finance department for their work on the county's finances. No formal action was taken during the meeting; the topic is expected to return to council for financing decisions.
