The Screven County Board of Commissioners met in a special called meeting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Screven County Courthouse. Chairman Will Boyd called the meeting to order, offered the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner Allison Willis moved to approve the meeting agenda. Commissioner Mike Dixon seconded the motion; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The board then considered a list of items county departments had proposed to declare surplus and sell at auction.
The Board approved the surplus list for auction on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Commissioner Allison Willis made the motion to approve the surplus list and Commissioner Rosa Romeo seconded; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The minutes record that Ms. Lori Burke, the county manager, and Mrs. Sonya Gordon, administrative clerk, were attending. The minutes also note Mr. J.C. Warren and Mr. Ben Thompson was absent.
