Screven County commissioners approve Georgia State Patrol land steps, contract, appointments and sheriff vehicle

Each appointment was made by motion and second and recorded as carrying by unanimous vote.
During commission and staff comments, Commissioner Mike Dixon reminded the board of state tournaments underway at the Recreation Department. Commissioner Edwin Lovett requested an update on the LMIG project on Plantation Road. Commissioner Allison Willis said recent ditching work on county roads has been helpful. County Manager Lori Burke informed the board that the Screven County Courthouse will close for maintenance at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024.
