Commissioner John Reddish moved to approve the FY 2023–24 budget; Commissioner Gerald Blocker seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Gerald Blocker moved to approve a SPLOST intergovernmental agreement with the City of Ludowici that sets distribution percentages (Recreation 20%, Public Safety 40% and Roads 40%) and specifies the City will receive 16% of Public Safety and Road funds; Commissioner Jeremy Hall seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Jeremy Hall moved to approve a TSPLOST intergovernmental agreement with the City of Ludowici; Commissioner John Reddish seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also authorized resolutions to call for an election in November 2023. Routine procedural motions — approval of the agenda, minutes and payment of bills — passed unanimously earlier in the meeting, and the board adjourned following acknowledgments of county staff and recreation champions.
