The Coffee County Board of Commissioners took up the first reading of a rezoning request from Seven Acres Properties for 31.21 acres on Iron Road.
County Administrator Wesley Vickers said the request would change zoning from R2, Residential C, Commercial to R4 Residential to allow stick-built homes. Vickers said the rezoning had been denied previously but that the county added an additional classification that made the current petition possible. There were no public comments recorded at the meeting.
The item was presented as a first reading; the minutes do not record a final vote or conditions. The Board recessed for an executive session and later adjourned the regular meeting.
