Coffee County approves $488,407 fire truck purchase, authorizes surplus vehicle sales

Commissioners approved the recommendation; Vickers said the purchase will be funded from SPLOST VII.
Separately, Vickers listed six patrol vehicles the Sheriff’s Office designated as surplus by VIN and model year and the Board unanimously authorized disposal through GovDeals, an online auction platform.
The Board recorded unanimous votes on both actions; the meeting minutes do not include the expected delivery timeline for the fire truck or the estimated proceeds from the vehicle sales.
