Pierce County manager: revenues on budget through June; FEMA/GEMA reimbursements outstanding

County Manager Raphel D. Maddox told commissioners on Aug. 5 that Pierce County’s revenues and expenditures were on budget through June 30, 2025, and provided several departmental activity figures and FEMA/GEMA reimbursement statuses.
Maddox reported General Fund revenue year-to-date of $10,017,167.58 (70.24% of budget through June 30). LOST receipts year-to-date were $1,033,832.48 (53.02%). Emergency services figures included Pierce County Fire Department July calls of 72 (YTD 453) and Pierce County EMS July calls of 277 (YTD 1,842); July collections for EMS were $62,645.23 (YTD $475,664). E911 recorded 2,001 inbound calls in July (YTD 3,818). The manager also reported FEMA/GEMA reimbursements for storm events: Debby—Received $493,411.76; Outstanding $495,947.43 (with $441,422.43 associated with completion of the College Ave project); Helene—Received $185,576.53; Outstanding $3,228,395.08.
Maddox included planning and codes metrics (new home permits and inspections totals), facilities updates (courthouse roof replacement, air conditioner installation), and detailed road department activity (culverts cleaned, ditches dug, potholes patched, grader miles and yards moved). Staff did not present revised revenue projections beyond June 30 figures at the meeting.
