"The disorderly conduct, the way that it is written is a complete violation," Patterson said, and later reiterated that she had provided documentation to the board and claimed the ordinance she downloaded from the Pierce County website was incorrect. Chairman Bennett told Patterson the document she presented appeared to be a state ordinance and asked for a local ordinance example.
Ala Mae Myles repeated a long-standing request that the county take over maintenance of 3654 Ala Mae Lane off Walkerville Road; she said she has appeared at meetings since 2019, collected a petition and observed that the road signage changed from green (county-maintained) to blue (private), asking why her road has not been accepted for maintenance while other nearby roads receive work. Commissioners referenced prior comments indicating the road was considered private and noted that county-maintained roads are being worked on where they are designated county roads.
