Bacon County commissioners approve budget fixes, insurance renewals and timber tax relief

Commissioner Corey Tyre moved to amend the budget “to balance the books,” and Commissioner Sammy Boatright seconded; the motion carried. The board then approved keeping the amended budget in effect until the county completes its next annual budget (motion by Commissioner Lonann Sweat; seconded by Commissioner Corey Tyre).
Commissioner Lonann Sweat moved to remain with the county’s existing Anthem health plan for the coming period; Commissioner Lee Hagans seconded and the motion carried.
