Bacon County renews Unison contracts and approves UGA MOU and blueberry-farm lease

At its July 15 meeting the Bacon County Board of Commissioners approved several administrative agreements.
The board voted to renew three Unison-related agreements: the county participation contract renewal for $1,431.00 and lease renewals for properties at 1835 West 12th Street and 108 East 5th Street. Commissioner Lonann Sweat moved to renew the agreements; Commissioner Sammy Boatright seconded and the motion carried.
Commissioner Corey Tyre moved to approve a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Georgia (UGA); Commissioner Lonann Sweat seconded and the motion carried. Later in the meeting Commissioner Tyre moved to add a Lease Agreement concerning the UGA Blueberry Farm to the agenda; Chairman Shane Taylor read the agreement aloud and the board approved the lease.
