Autauga County Commission approves routine minutes, invoices, personnel, subdivisions and procurement

The Autauga County Commission at its June 3 meeting approved routine business including the minutes of May 20, 2025 and invoices through June 3, 2025. Commissioners also approved a consent docket that included travel for economic development branding and marketing (June 18 in Auburn), a six-month probation period for Engineering employee Richard Badgley (DOH 12/10/2024) and authorization to surplus and destroy specified EMA storage facility materials and electronic equipment.
Personnel actions recorded in the minutes included a one-year, one-step pay increase for Solid Waste Officer Hoyt Painter (effective per minutes), acceptance of the resignation of Operator I Cody Simon (effective May 23, 2025) with authority to advertise for replacement, and approvals to hire Ameer Salaam as Laborer I and Kyle Temple as Mechanic (pending background/drug screens) to fill vacancies.
The commission approved three subdivision plats (Lilly Meadows Plat No. 1 — CR-57, Wolf Family Plat No. 1 — CR-81, and Labrador Land Co. Plat No. 1 — CR-85 & CR-80) and awarded the concrete pipe bid jointly to Alabama Pipe & Supply Company and Foley Products Company for the period July 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. The minutes also record approval of ACCA insurance recovery of $373.00 for a 2020 Ram 1500 for the sheriff’s office.
All motions recorded in the minutes carried by unanimous vote. The commission adjourned at 6:12 p.m. and set its next meeting for June 17, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
