Township extends maintenance‑building contractor deadline; board approves routine bills

Manager Alice Rehrig said the contractor submitted engineering calculations and that longer tank probes and thermometers were ordered after architect approval on Feb. 14; she also said the project retainer is still being held and the change order has not been paid. Supervisor Janet Sheats moved to extend the contractor deadline until the end of March with a contingency that the board would pursue other action if the contractor does not comply; Cindy Miller seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
On bills, Janet Sheats moved to approve General Fund checks 28495–28532; David Hess seconded and the motion passed. During that vote supervisors questioned payments to Pine Run Construction (remaining contract balance), Check 28513 IT/server charges (migration, security and Outlook issues) and Check 28524 for a monthly fire‑pump test connected to the new building; Rehrig said the monthly pump test will be an ongoing required expense. Supervisors also noted that some township‑named parcels were being taxed for fire levy charges and asked staff for a parcel‑by‑parcel breakdown and a lease review; Rehrig confirmed LTAA leases listed $1 for park use in at least one case.
