Union County approves highway contracts, bridge grants and $226,000 courthouse HVAC contract

The board approved Ulteig Professional Services Agreements 64-042-050 and 64-058-050 for county highway work. Commissioners also approved Bridge Improvement Grant Agreements 64-042-050 and 64-058-050.
A permit application from Blue Peak to work within or across Union County right-of-way or highways passed on a 3–1 vote after a motion by Peggy Ustad, seconded by Tom Kimmel; Commissioner Michael Dailey recorded the lone nay.
The board accepted a bid from Krier & Blain for $226,000 to replace and upgrade a roughly 48-year-old HVAC system in the courthouse basement and authorized the chairman or designee to sign the contract. The vote on the HVAC contract was recorded by roll call as 4 ayes (Dailey, Ustad, Kimmel, Joffer).
