Supervisors adopt LSA grant resolution; manager announces retainage release and tree lighting

Supervisor Cindy Miller moved to adopt Resolution 2025‑10 authorizing submission of an LSA grant application and designating individuals to sign grant documents; Janet Sheats seconded and the board voted unanimously to adopt the resolution.
Manager Alice Rehrig reported that the state will release the retainage for the Maintenance Building grant on Nov. 26, which will close out that grant file. Rehrig also announced the township’s Christmas tree lighting will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and asked for Recreation Board assistance with setup.
Separately, the board noted the Planning Commission had received a revised zoning ordinance for review; supervisors discussed whether to address data‑center language and home‑occupation provisions separately from the full ordinance review to expedite work. No zoning ordinance was adopted at this meeting.
In public comment, resident Paul Nikisher asked about status of the Northwoods development and whether its roads will be public; Chairman Mike Jones said the roads will remain private.
