Public Works representative Frank Zamadics told the board two new hires are training and noted chassis deliveries will likely be late in the year and completed trucks may not arrive until February or March 2027. Manager Alice Rehrig said the funding will come from the Equipment Fund and capital improvements, and that the single‑axle truck had been included in the 2026 budget.
Resident Paul Nikisher asked whether the grant required a match. Cindy Miller said the grant amount is $245,000 and that the township would owe an estimated $42,047.50. Zamadics added that if only one truck were bought, the tandem would be prioritized to meet grant requirements.
