By motion of Ballard, seconded by Ustad, the board approved contingency transfers totaling $408,000 with the following line items: Circuit Court $165,000; State’s Attorney $109,000; Public Defender $116,500; Mental Illness Board $200; 24/7 $1,900; Auditor $13,000; Veterans Service Officer $1,000; and Fair $900. The motion was recorded as carried.
Later in the meeting the board approved claims and warrants for payroll and vendors. The minutes list payroll draws (BW Payroll 12/23/2025: $105,365.13; CH Payroll 12/31/2025: $177,870.45) and a long vendor claims list covering departments and external vendors. Notable individual claims recorded in the minutes include Rinker Materials ($106,523.80) and Grade A Excavation ($58,638.37); the minutes contain a comprehensive list of audited claims that were approved.
The board recessed for executive session on personnel and legal matters during the meeting before returning and completing these approvals.
