The budget covers the fiscal year Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2025. Commissioners approved the budget and levy resolutions by motion (mover: Colin Soukup; seconder: Nick Stotz) with the board recording “All in favor, motion carried.”
Why it matters: the levy determines the taxable rate applied to assessed property values and funds core county operations. The board also approved the Auditor’s and Treasurer’s monthly reports, which showed an ending cash balance of $7,331,085.46 as of Aug. 31, 2024, and provided the financial context for adopting the budget.
