At its Dec. 12 meeting, the Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners approved the Auditor's Account with Treasurer for the month ending Nov. 30, 2024, recording total deposits, cash and checks totaling $8,466,645.46. Vice Chairman Colin Soukup moved to approve the account and Commissioner Nick Stotz seconded the motion; the vote was recorded as "all in favor."
The board also approved the Treasurer's Report for the month ending Nov. 30, 2024, which the minutes list as: beginning balance $11,392,859.11; total revenue $1,850,865.82; total expenses $4,777,079.47; ending balance $8,466,645.46.
Commissioners approved the bills presented for Dec. 12, 2024, by fund and vendor detail as recorded in the meeting packet and minutes; the minutes include fund totals (General Fund $227,870.37; County Road & Bridge $163,713.15; 911 Service Fund $16,382.79; Emergency & Disaster $4,322.04; 24/7 $1,402.10; State Motor $110.20; Law Library $2,578.40) and a grand total of $416,379.05 disbursed.
The Register of Deeds statement of fees collected during November 2024 in the amount of $13,898.50 was presented and approved by motion.
These approvals were recorded as motions with unanimous support in the meeting minutes; the board did not direct any additional auditing or hold any of the items for later review during the Dec. 12 session.
