Public commenters urge support for county strategic plan and Warner Canyon trail funding

Shelley Batty, director of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, reported progress at Warner Canyon Ski Area: green‑level bike trails were approximately 80 percent complete, built structures about 25 percent complete, and construction on blue‑level trails had begun. Batty said additional funding applications were pending and asked the board for a letter of support for a Phase II parks funding request; she expected a funding decision in January 2026.
The board received the comments; no formal vote was taken during the work session.
