DA’s office announces $95,513 VOCA/CFA grant to fund victim services in 2025–26

District Attorney’s Office Victim Advocate Cherie Davis told the board the office received a fully funded VOCA/CFA grant for $95,513 for the 2025–26 year.
“Her salary and ten percent of the Victim Assistant salary were included in the budget,” Davis said, and the remaining funds will be used for training and victim assistance services that include relocation, shelter housing and court fees. Davis reported that during the last biennium the office served 423 victims and made 5,699 contacts.
Commissioners were advised the grant agreement (VOCA/CFA‑2025‑LakeCo.DAVAP‑00013) would be presented for action in Regular Session.
