Plymouth, N.C. ' The Washington County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved submission of the Proposed FY2023 Community Transportation Program (CTP) application after a brief public hearing on Sept. 7, 2021.
The board opened the public hearing on the CTP application on a motion by Commissioner Ann Keyes and second from Commissioner Julius Walker Jr. Ms. Lynn Swett spoke during the hearing about the documents included in the commissioners' agenda packet. The board closed the hearing and then voted to submit the application, with Commissioners Walker, Carol Phelps, Ann Keyes and Vice-Chair Tracey A. Johnson recording yea votes.
The application covers the county's FY2023 request to participate in the state-administered Community Transportation Program. The hearing record in the agenda packet and Ms. Swett's verbal remarks were entered for the board's consideration before the vote.
No opposing comments or motions to amend the submission were recorded during the hearing. The board's approval authorizes staff to file the county's application with the appropriate state agency and proceed with the grant process.
