At its Dec. 9 meeting the Lehigh Township Board approved a motion to release up to $2,252,659.90 from Top of the Mountain Estates' developer escrow, contingent on final review and approval by the township engineer.
Township Engineer Mike Muffley told the board his office had not completed the full review but recommended conditional approval because the developer needs to renew its bond before year end. The release would leave a remaining escrow balance of $278,233.50. David Hess moved to release the funds pending engineering review and Janet Sheats seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The board's action was explicitly conditioned on the engineer's final approval; staff said the release is not final until the engineer completes required checks and signs off on remaining punch-list or inspection matters.
