Commissioners approve ESD board and historical commission appointments

The Llano County Commissioners Court on Feb. 24 approved several board appointments and reappointments.
Commissioner Jerry Don Moss moved to remove Jimmy Decker from Emergency Service District (ESD) #3 and appoint Jerry Moore to serve through Dec. 31, 2026; Commissioner Linda Raschke seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Peter Jones then moved to appoint John Florence to the ESD #1 (Horseshoe Bay EMS) board effective Feb. 24, 2025, with a term to end Dec. 31, 2026, filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Jordan Spiros; Commissioner Raschke seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
On historical commission business, Commissioner Linda Raschke moved to reappoint Margaret Wilkinson for a two-year term ending Dec. 31, 2026; Commissioner Jerry Don Moss seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Peter Jones subsequently moved to appoint Becky Widner and Nancy Daniel to the Llano County Historical Commission under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 318 for two-year terms effective Jan. 1, 2025; Commissioner Moss seconded and the court approved both appointments unanimously.
All appointments were recorded in the meeting minutes; start and end dates for terms were noted in the motions.
