PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio — Dozens of residents told the Parma Heights City Council on April 10 that enforcing a citywide ban on commercial trucks and trailers parked at private residences would harm local tradespeople and micro-business owners.
“Where do you propose the extra money come from to park my truck and trailer somewhere else? Where do you propose the money come from to purchase another vehicle?” said resident Michael Prall, who said he relies on a truck and enclosed trailer to run a landscaping business and keeps the trailer at his parents’ house. “If what you are asking to do with commercial vehicles passes that you might not only financially ruin me but financially ruin the hard-working people of this community that you are supposed to be representing.”
