Brewster County commissioners approve audit, $350,000 SB22 grant, tourism contracts and Lajitas plat in unanimous votes

On land-use matters the court approved the final plat for Lakeside Cottages in Lajitas; preliminary approval had been granted on Oct. 12, 2025. Commissioner Ortega moved to approve the final plat; Commissioner Colando seconded and the motion passed 4-0.
The court also ratified a new TransPecos Bank account for the 394th District Court (Brewster County acting as fiscal agent), approved department payroll for several elected offices, and approved the Expenses Paid report presented by County Comptroller Malynda Richardson; each action passed on unanimous recorded votes.
The court completed its business by scheduling the next regular meeting for Nov. 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. and adjourning at 11:00 a.m.
