Tourism contracts approved; county schedules cleanup days and hears Marathon Animal Shelter update

Public works scheduling was addressed by Road & Bridge Superintendent Johnny Salcido, who requested dates for Brewster County Cleanup Day: Terlingua on April 5, Marathon on April 26 and Alpine on May 3. Della Hensley, founder of the Marathon Animal Shelter, presented a report on the shelter’s activities and future needs. The court received the presentation as an informational item; no formal funding request or vote was recorded in the minutes.
