Commissioners add ELK LOOP and DESKO DRIVE to county emergency-address database

On March 11 Brewster County Commissioners unanimously approved adding two private road names to the county Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) to improve emergency dispatch addressing.
Kayse Muratori, the county 9-1-1 GIS Coordinator, presented ELK LOOP (off State Highway 118) and DESKO DRIVE (off U.S. Highway 90). Commissioner Sara Allen Colando moved to add ELK LOOP and Commissioner Ruben Ortega moved to add DESKO DRIVE; both motions were seconded and passed 4-0.
Why it matters: Adding private road names to the MSAG helps ensure correct location data is available for emergency responders and dispatch systems.
