The presenters said placement numbers and associated costs in Bedford County are consistent with trends in other sixth‑class counties, citing a packet from the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission provided by Judge Livengood.
Probation Chief Bernard Smith presented an award to Lexus Sheffield in recognition of her work, and speakers expressed appreciation for interagency collaboration. Several of the items on the board’s agenda that followed related to contracts and service agreements for Children & Youth Services for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025.
