Board approves annual Children & Youth Services provider contracts and MOU with Unified Family Services Systems

The Bedford County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 9 approved Purchase of Service Agreements for Bedford County Children & Youth Services covering the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Unified Family Services Systems.
Administrator Christopher Gresko presented the recommendations and the list of approved providers, which includes Merakey Pennsylvania; Community Specialists Corporation d/b/a The Academy; Professional Family Care Services, Inc.; Summit School, Inc. d/b/a Summit Academy; Alternative Living Solutions; KidsPeace National Centers, Inc.; The Bair Foundation of Pennsylvania; Cornell Abraxas Group, LLC; Children’s Aid Home Programs of Somerset County, Inc.; Outside in School of Experiential Education, Inc.; Perseus House, Inc.; Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.; Horizon Behavioral Health, PLLC; and a set of individual consultants and attorneys serving roles such as legal counsel and guardian ad litem.
Gresko gave an overview of the programs and the Memorandum of Understanding; the motions to approve the contracts and the MOU were approved by the board.
