The Bedford County Board of Commissioners voted Sept. 9 to award a contract to Pashek + MTR Ltd. not to exceed $115,000 to conduct a countywide UTV‑ATV Trail Feasibility Study. The work is funded by the Community Conservation Partnership Program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and county officials said the contract will be at no cost to Bedford County.
Planning Director Stephanie Clevenstine described the need for the study and outlined the process; she said the steering committee includes diverse representation across the county and that additional public meetings and information will be posted on the county website and shared with local media and radio outlets.
The motion to award the contract was approved by the board. County staff said more information, including public meeting dates, will be made available as the study proceeds.
