Greenville council accepts audit, approves consent agenda and permits temporary parking use

At its Nov. 1 meeting the Greenville City Council unanimously adopted the consent agenda (including payroll and accounts payable), accepted the 2021–2022 audit from Vredeveld Haefner LLC, approved a permit for J & L Roofing to occupy six parking spaces Nov. 14–28, and adjourned at 8:13 p.m.
The Greenville City Council unanimously approved routine items and a temporary parking occupancy request at its Nov. 1 meeting.
Councilperson Moss moved to approve the consent agenda, which included approval of the Oct. 18, 2022 meeting minutes; payroll for the period ending Oct. 15, 2022 in the amount of $134,546.17; accounts payable reports for Oct. 18 ($348.00) and Oct. 25 ($505,681.38); and the Planning Commission minutes from Oct. 13, 2022. Councilperson Johnson seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
The council received the 2021–2022 annual audit from Vredeveld Haefner LLC. Councilperson Johnson moved to accept the audit report as presented; Councilperson Scoby seconded. The motion was adopted unanimously.
Council also considered a request from J & L Roofing, representing the owners of 301 S. Lafayette Street, to occupy six public parking spaces in Lot 2 from Nov. 14, 2022 to Nov. 28, 2022 to stage dumpsters and a crane. Councilperson Moss moved to approve the request; Councilperson Johnson seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
Councilperson Cunliffe moved to adjourn; Councilperson Moss seconded and the meeting adjourned at 8:13 p.m. The meeting record does not provide additional public comment or dissent on these items.
