Fiscal Court approves sheriff training, sanitation budget and routine bills

Several administrative items were approved by the Spencer County Fiscal Court at its March 3 meeting.
Sheriff: The court authorized the sheriff to send two employees to opioid training in Mason, Ohio and allowed the use of opioid funds for the expense. The motion to send up to two people to training, with expenses not to exceed $1,400, was made by Esq. Stump and seconded by Esq. Pharris and passed by voice vote with Esqs. Cotton and Eldridge absent.
Sanitation District: Jim Schaefer presented the Sanitation District budget for Fiscal Year 2025, describing it as a "best guess." The budget was made available for inspection in the county judge's office and the court approved the budget on motion by Esq. Stump, seconded by Esq. Pharris.
Bills and transfers: The court approved invoices, bills and transfers listed in the meeting packet (motion by Esq. Stump, seconded by Esq. Pharris) and recorded several transfers in the packet covering fuel cards, drug-forfeiture corrections, reserve allocations and other departmental transfers. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
All routine approvals were recorded as voice votes with Esqs. Cotton and Eldridge absent; the minutes list the detailed invoice register and transfer entries in the packet for public inspection.
