Spencer County accepts May financial reports and approves bills, invoices and transfers; Treasurer adds $50,000 jail transfer

Treasurer Doug Williams presented May financial statements, bank reconciliations and revenue-condition reports showing cash balances and fund-level summaries. The court reviewed detailed reports for the General Fund, Road Fund, Jail Fund and WRIS (Sanitation) fund.
The Fiscal Court approved the invoices register, bills and transfers in bulk on a motion by Esq. Cotton, seconded by Esq. Stump. The register included recurring items, vendor invoices and specialized contracts. During the approval the treasurer added a $50,000 transfer to the jail fund (documented in a subsequent transmittal email from the treasurer).
Separately, the county clerk submitted a certified claim for motor-vehicle and boat-bill calculations: 30,743 accounts at $0.15 per bill for $4,611.45, as certified by the Department of Revenue form included in the packet.
Court minutes show acceptance of the financial reports and authorization for a detailed claims register; staff will implement transfers and post the approved invoices to the county accounting system.
