The Spencer County Fiscal Court on Sept. 3 approved administrative pay changes and ratified post-executive-session personnel actions.
The court ordered a pay correction for part-time paramedic Brandon Griffey, increasing his hourly rate from $17.75 to $19.20 after a request presented by EMS personnel; the change was approved by motion (Esq. Cotton moved; Esq. Travis seconded).
The court entered executive session under KRS 61.810 to discuss pending litigation and personnel matters. After returning to open session, the court unanimously ratified the termination of Andrew Nation and approved raising Assistant Road Foreman Dakota Whitehouse’s pay to $24 per hour; motions to ratify and increase pay were made and seconded by magistrates and recorded in the post-executive-session minutes.
What’s next: the county will implement the pay-rate change and update payroll records; personnel actions were ratified and documented in the court minutes.
