Spencer County Fiscal Court on Oct. 20 adopted Ordinance No. 4 FY25/26 to add an additional approximately 1,565 feet of the road known as "The Landings" (CR1341) to the county roads system, declaring the county-maintained length as 0.848 mile, ending at the Spencer–Shelby County line.
The ordinance, presented on second reading, cites the county's authority under Kentucky law for adopting roads onto the county system. Court members said ownership changes and extensions during construction prompted the formal adoption. The motion to adopt the ordinance and to release the developer bond for Top Flight Phase 5 passed by voice vote with all members voting "aye."
County records indicate the adoption reflects prior planning commission recommendations and developer-request letters filed in 2024 and January 2025. The court ordered the bond release for Phase 5 after reviewing developer documentation and engineering submittals on file.
