Simpson County fiscal court adopts Ordinance No. 530.63 lowering speed limits on two rural roads

The motion to adopt was made by Magistrate Myron Thurman and seconded by Magistrate Scott Poston; the vote was recorded in favor by Thurman, Poston, Jeffrey Burr, Marty Chandler and County Judge/Executive Mason Bames.
The court recorded the ordinance as passed; no amendment or further discussion on implementation timing was recorded in the minutes. The county did not specify an effective date for the new speed limits in the meeting minutes; staff follow-up would be required to determine when new signs will be posted and take effect.
