Russell County court agrees to pursue fee pooling and drafts ordinance language after sheriff objects; adopts Tony Sloan Way and approves Greasy Creek paving

After debate the court voted to pursue fee pooling and to revisit hazardous-duty pay; Magistrate Garner asked County Attorney Kevin Shearer to draft the ordinance language for the next meeting. On roads, the court considered taking Rowena Road (0.812 mile) into the county road system; the court amended the usual requirement (waiving the two-permanent-resident rule for this road) and approved taking the road into the system under the name Tony Sloan Way.
