Russell County Fiscal Court approves $639,070.01 in transfers; authorizes $54,000 in fire and rescue support

Finally, the court approved a $432,594.01 transfer from the General fund to the Russell County Industrial Development Authority (IDA). Marcum said the county is acting as a pass-through for a grant the IDA received. Magistrate Larry Skaggs moved the transfer and Magistrate Zach Wilson seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, the court authorized budgeted annual support payments totaling $54,000 to local emergency services: $20,000 to Jamestown (now merged with South Russell), $10,000 to Russell Springs Fire Department, $10,000 to Eli Fire Department, $4,000 to Faubush Fire Department and $10,000 to the Russell County Rescue Squad. Magistrate Terry Waddell moved to distribute the funds, with Magistrate Steve Richardson seconding; the court voted in favor without opposition.
The court also approved routine agenda items by unanimous vote, including minutes from prior meetings and payment of regular and late bills.
