Fleming County Fiscal Court approves ARPA-funded equipment purchases and budget allocations

It also approved purchasing a 2024 Kenworth with package from Worldwide Equipment for $179,500 and a tilt trailer from Double D Trailer Parts and Service for $13,675, to be paid from ARPA funds. The minutes record the authorizations as motions approved by unanimous vote.
The court approved $80,000 from Sheriff’s Program Support to the Fleming County Sheriff for a new vehicle and payroll expenses; the Sheriff reported receiving a bid for a new vehicle from Cheap’s Chevrolet. The court also authorized soliciting sealed bids for two road department trucks, one tandem dump truck and a mini-excavator.
County Treasurer Miranda Utterback presented financial reports showing totals by fund, including General Fund $944,903.68, ARPA Fund $856,157.88, Opioid Fund $203,910.00 and total all funds $2,725,858.21; the court approved the reports and separately approved budget transfers, cash transfers and claims reports as presented.
The minutes also record approval to purchase a 24-foot Big Ass fan for the maintenance garage from ARPA funds for $6,681 with installation by a local contractor.
