Fleming County awards janitorial contracts, approves month-end finances and commits remaining ARPA funds

The court also approved the month-ending financial statements for Nov. 30, 2024, reporting total combined fund balances of $2,477,112.10 across multiple funds (General Fund $1,278,566.74; Road Fund $163,101.74; Jail Fund $17,983.25; LGEA Fund $178,354.18; Forest Fire Fund $1,100.26; CDBG Fund $36,945.72; Dispatch Fund $212,926.97; Clerks Storage Fund $14,478.56; ARPA Fund $100,644.41; Opioid Funds $247,698.37; Capital Improvement Fund $225,311.90). Cash transfers, budget transfers and claims reports were approved unanimously as presented.
On ARPA funding, the court committed the remaining $22,465.47: $4,500 to Fizer Carpet and the remainder to be split among six local fire departments, by unanimous vote. The court also approved adding Waltz Towing to the countys wrecker service rotation.
