County Treasurer Miranda Utterback presented financial statements ending March 31, 2025 showing balances in funds including the General Fund ($1,236,050.59), Road Fund ($282,007.37), Dispatch Fund ($132,876.58), Opioid Fund ($250,653.57) and a total across funds of $2,365,657.35. The court voted unanimously to accept the reports.
The court unanimously approved presented budget transfers and cash transfers, approved two preventive maintenance elevator contracts for quarterly inspections at the courthouse and judicial center, and approved the first reading of Ordinance 25‑1419, a budget amendment. The court also approved opening a non‑interest‑bearing bank account to hold federal grant funds related to Industrial Park IV and approved claims and carry‑in claims.
A public bid opening was held April 3 for the 2025 Buffalo Trace Road Commission; the completed bid tabulations had not yet been received according to the minutes. The court gave the County Judge/Executive authority to sign deed transfers and any documents related to the sale of the old senior center building. Discussion about selling a used Mack truck and buying a replacement under a buy‑back program was deferred to the next meeting.
